An introduction to peony culture, types of peonies, planting, nurturing, division and propagation, growing for the best blossoms, and how to prepare a winning entry.  
Adriana and Holly will explain how to prepare buds to enter and win ribbons at the Canadian Peony Show in Castlegar, June 20-23, 2019.  One of the wonderful things about peonies is that cold storage creates dormancy so flowers bloom on demand

Holly Pender-Love has a B.Education, served as a Canadian Armed Forces Administrator, and has enjoyed being a Toastmaster for 10yrs. She has presented lectures at the College of the Rockies in Creston and speaks at the Castlegar Garden Club.
Adriana Work is a businesswoman and farmer  with 40 yrs experience, fifteen of those as the owner/operator of Dutch Girl Peonies in Beasley, BC. Adriana has presented on peonies in New Denver, Castlegar, and other locations in the Kootenays.


these seminars are for those who are possibly new to gardening and/or interested in Peonies. The Canadian show will be held in Castlegar this June and we would love to have participants from Nelson atttending and/or participating by entering cut peony flowers and/or Arrangements. All information on our website, note at bottom of poster.  Guests coming from cross Canada and the USA, so not much of a drive for you!!!  Hope to see some class registrations. should be fun.
