Drawn To Nature: Young Naturalist Art Club, One Thursday/ Month, Fall 2017

Drawn to Nature will be a new program this fall in Naturalist Art making. It will be  2 hours of supervised fine art training for young Naturalists  Ages 6 - 12 years old.  This program will look at the works of 4 acclaimed Naturalist illustrators, with a different nature focus each week.  Advance registration is required!  

Lead by Lana Jamieson, a certified art teacher who has previously completed an internship in naturalist art illustrating at Yanayaku research station in Ecuador, has several years experience assisting and teaching at the Montreal Visual Arts Center, and many years as a camp art specialist.

Thursdays: Sept 14, Oct 12, Nov 9 & 30

3 - 5pm

We're getting really excited about our new program to begin next week: Drawn to Nature.  Young Naturalist will learn how to keep a naturalist sketchbook, techniques in Drawing and watercolour with access to special objects from our collection. 

We will be exploring the work of 4 well-know conservations, and the artwork of environmental activist artists through 4 themes: Birds, Mushrooms, Insects, and Snow (snow scenes).
