My name is Mark Steeves and Recently I posted a Rant regarding [...] and issues we are currently experiencing. I'd like to try and explain what happened 10 years ago to my Son's and Wife when we rented a older farm house in Alberta, that was serverly infested with 7 types of Mold. All known to be toxic to your health. My intentions are soley to educate and hopefully after I am finished I wont sound like such a freak and I may actually save a life or at least help someone not go through what we did. Sometimes Ignorance is not bliss.

10 years ago we moved into an older Farm house in Rural Central Alberta. It was a nice small house situated on a farm Nice and cozy. It showed Clean it was very private exactly what we were looking for. It had a dirt basement as many of these old house have no big deal. The house had that musty smell most old homes have. At the time I had no idea what that smell represented. Had I known I would have pitched a tent rather than live in that house. It was a very wet year in Alberta  and sometime in March I went down into the basement to find 8 inches of water, I find the sump pump plug and plug it in this  starts a pump that is sitting in a 5 gallon pail sunk into the ground and drains the basement within 2 weeks of this event My 16 year old is in the hospital with an unknown illness that was effecting his central nervous system. My 5 year old has lost over half his hearing and it is getting worse every day. My wife is crippled with Fibromyalgia and sever lung issues that eventually turned into Pneumonia. I myself did not have any physical effects. My family was dyeing around me I did not know why I was at a loss all our Doctors didn't have a clue what was going on. Feeling hopeless and helpless. Finally we took Aksel our Son to a specialist that questioned us regarding what was going on with our health issues. He ordered an Environmental Assessment. Christmas 2006 WE BURNED EVERYTHING WE OWNED!! It was like having a house fire with no Insurance. PLEASE CLICK HERE Today 10 years later My oldest is 26 and does not seem to suffer from any long term effects other than he is Hypersensitive to mold Like all of us. My Son Aksel is still Deaf He uses hearing aids that cost roughly 10000 every 5 years. He suffers from roughly 90% hearing loss and is legally deaf. My wife still suffers serious lung issues like Bronchitis, Shortness of breath, Nasal allergy type issues and last but not least the Fibromyalgia never left. Funny enough I suffer from Hypersensitivity when exposed and have ichy eyes and cold like symptom when exposed.
