Hiking RED in early season

My first winter season here in Rossland. Wondering about hiking red to get early runs in. I've had little problem doing early season hikes at Lake Louise and Whistler. However, when I lived in Fernie the hill was opposed to that activity. What's the situation here? Im avi trained and have all the equipment. Any thoughts and guidance appreciated.

Officially the mountain has signs posted, but people have been known to hike. Better to find a local who knows what is likely to slide. 2 years ago Booties broke out to ground and took skiers for a bad ride. Ex-patroller says Red has slid early season. Snow makers on Red will not appreciate interference. Go up to Strawberrry Pass, deeper snow, less exposure, nice cabins.

Appreciate the info Kiko. Much appreciated.
