Youth Drone Workshop

June 22 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

RCAC is excited to offer a one day Drone + Filming workshop with filmmaker Eric Gonzalez. Join Eric on June 22 from 9 am to 4 pm to learn the fundamentals of taking videos and photos with drones. Registration is $30.

Open to youth 9 and older who are interested in learning how to use drones safely and effectively to capture awesome photos and videos. Not only will we go into drones, but also photo and video basics that can be applied to any camera. Participants are welcome to bring any camera (including iPad/iPods etc) to follow along.

The underlying goal is to foster an interest in the emerging technology of drones and how to use these fun tools, in addition to learning the basic principles of photography and videography.

We’ll begin the camp with a short class in the Miners Hall where we will go over how to use a drone safely and legally. We will also go over the basics of photography and videography so that students have a solid set of skills on which build their creation. After lunch, we will head up to the RSS field and practice flying and filming with DJI Tello drones and with their own cameras.

There is a maximum of 8 spaces so register today!
