1961 Trail Smoke Eaters Hockey Documentary

Our documentary team is going to begin filming again on Oct 17-21.We have relatively modest goals, with a few locations in mind. We're looking for 3 actors,

2 females in their mid twenties....as wives of the 61' players...

One scene each, of them listening to the radio...(the wives would listen to the radio each morning to hear the called in report from Europe, whilst the guys were playing in the World Championships.)

Women would be dressed in casual clothes from the era...

We plan to shoot these scenes at the house of Jack Colbert, (team doc from 61) who has an amazing house interior that looks like it's been frozen in time from the 60s...

The male actor would be in his mid-twenties and playing the role of Bobby Kromm. We envision him in plain grey sweats and a hoodie, (so we can cover his face) with converse hightops or clothing of the era. He’ll be filmed running through and around Trail, do some push ups....Kromm was a physical fitness fanatic, who believed conditioning was a real asset to a team's ability to compete....

No speaking roles...no frontal face shots, all actors are all playing locals from another time, taking some intriguing angles and lighting will give us glimpses of lives past....

The second male part is that of Seth Martin, a goalie on the team who helped pioneer face masks. There may be some over the shoulder shots with Seth working on his iconic goalie mask.
