Volunteers needed

Hello Rossland community,

I’m a local leader with Girl Guides of Canada. I want to share some information about our Rossland units and hopefully encourage some local women to join our organization as volunteers.

Girl Guides is a girl-led program that allows girl members to tailor each year to their specific interests. We try to create a safe environment for girls to develop their sense of self, their connection to their community, their leadership skills, their knowledge of the outdoors and conservation, and strengthen the sisterhood of Guiding.

We have five main branches of Guiding that include:
Sparks (ages 5 & 6)

Brownies (ages 7 & 8)

Guides (ages 9 to 11)

Pathfinders (ages 12 to 14)

Rangers (ages 15 to 17)

Rossland also has a Trex unit for girls aged 12 and up that want to focus on outdoor activities.

We really need leaders in our community, especially for the Guide  unit as it  will not be able to run this year without leaders stepping forward.  Without leaders some of our other programs will not run fully  this year.

Please contact me if you want to learn more about our organization or if you want information about volunteering.
