Is the community apple press day happening this year?

Just wondering if there is going to be an apple press day this year? I got some apples a few years ago and the community press day was awesome. I have some again this year, although I don't know if they will be good for juice or not, they aren't very ripe at this point.

Yes it is happening again! Woohoo! We're just finalizing plans, but it looks like the Community Pick and Press weekend will happen Saturday September 17 + Sunday September 18. Picking AND pressing will happen on Saturday, and further pressing will happen on Sunday.

If you store your apples in the basement until then, they should last no problem and might even ripen! We'll also be calling out to the Community to help us pick trees on Saturday the 17th, so if you're in need of more fruit to press that is a good time to get some!

If there are going to pressings outside of the one organised by Kathy I will post them on Rossland Harvest Rescue on FB. Pretty sure there will be as some people have early apples that need to be pressed NOW and I have some late apples that won't be ready until October!
