I heard yesterday that a loose black dog bit someone on the Centennial trail yesterday. Today on west Columbia we had a black dog in our yard chasing the cats. When my wife went to shoo it off, the mutt stood its ground, snarling with hackles up. It only ran off when I joined the conversation.
This is obviously a dog with issues. Approach with caution - I doubt its owner realizes that this beast might be a problem, but the damn animal shouldn't be loose. If it comes back I'll photograph it and contact the by-law officer.
