Join the CIMA+ Team Structural Engineer

Mission

The Structural Engineer will have recognized knowledge of heavy industry and structural design norms, codes and standards. In collaboration with the experts on our existing industrial team, and reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will be called upon to offer specialised services in the context of multidisciplinary projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the definition of projects
  • Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications
  • Carry out studies or technical reports
  • Take responsibility for complying with the provisions of the quality assurance system
  • Solve technical issues requiring research and in-depth analysis
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Coordinate work on industrial sites
  • Model structures Dlubal, SAP 2000, SAFI.
  • Proefficient in Sketchup would be an asset.
  • Coordinate projects with other disciplines.
  • Ensure the feasibility / constructability of projects.

 

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent, specialization in civil/structure.
  • 8-12 years or more of relevant experience
  • Experience in consulting engineering and heavy industry
  • Member of APEGA (and other provincial and territorial associations would be considered an asset)
  • Mastery of design and calculation tools
  • Knowledge of norms and standards in civil design
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
