Minions at the Silver Screen Drive-in

August 7 9:00 to 10:30 pm

The Minions brightly colored brand of gibberish-fueled insanity stretches to feature length in their self-titled Despicable Me spinoff, with hilarious results as Minions Stuart, Kevin, and Bob are recruited by a female supervillain who wants to take over the world.

Evolving from single-celled yellow organisms at the dawn of time, Minions live to serve, but find themselves working for a continual series of unsuccessful masters, from T. Rex to Dracula to Napoleon. Exiled in Antarctica, without a master to grovel for, the Minions fall into a deep depression. But one minion, Kevin, has a plan; accompanied by his pals Stuart and Bob, Kevin sets forth on a global road trip to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow.

Kevin, Stuart, and Bob get wind of Villain-Con, a convention where the world’s villains gather annually. There, they meet Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock), the first ever female super-villain, and her evil scientist husband, Herb (Golden Globe Award winner Jon Hamm). Scarlet hires the Minions as her henchmen and charges them with their first mission: to embark on a criminal heist that takes them to London, England.

Critics Reviews

"Minions all-silliness all-the-time philosophy will put a smile on faces and keep it there, like a fizzy beverage on a hot afternoon.” Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times

“Farty, burpy, fall-y over fun tied to a pretty inconsequential plot. Your kids will explode with joy.” Olly Richards, Empire Magazine

“A crazy, spirited, if simplistic fusion of off-beat adult humour blended with the sensibility of an anarchic toddler.” Fionnuala Halligan, Screen International

“Minions is a cute, hyperkinetic hodgepodge of '60s jokes, a rocking soundtrack and visual puns. It's just cute and clever enough to keep the wee ones entertained and the parents nodding along to an "Abbey Road" or The Who reference.” Monica Castillo, International Business Times

Audience Reviews

“Entertaining, fast-paced and with plenty of funny characters and situations. Kids will have a blast…”

“GREAT MOVIE!!!!! BANANA!!!!!!!”

“A goofy family friendly movie … Just pure childish fun.”

“The movie is full of laughs, pop culture references, and overall, a lot of yellow creatures. It's captivating seeing the Minions travel the world, and the result is a hilarious, weird, and often action-packed film.”
