Night Market - Music in the Park: Dinosaur Fight, Baker Street Blues Band and the Andrew Allen duo

Join the Trail & District Arts Council and Trail’s Incredible Farmers Market on August 17 for an evening of food vendors, market, beer & wine garden and live music at The Night Market in Gyro Park. From 5 pm to 8:30 pm there’s lots to do all topped off with great live music.

The music will kick off at 5 pm with the danceable keys and acoustic guitar of Dinosaur Fight. A couple of The Hillties come together for a fun and danceable show with looping beats mixed with high-energy vocals to popular song arrangements.

At 6 pm the always entertaining Baker Street Blues Band bring their electric blues to Gyro Park. After playing in various successful bands for over 30 years, Stelio Calagias (lead singer, guitar, harmonica) and his brother in law Phil Wilson-Birks (bass guitar) created their own 4-piece band. The band is rounded out with Ryan Telegdy (lead guitar), & Tim Potter (drums). Known as the "rockin blues dance band", their professional, and highly entertaining shows deliver "Blues that grabs hold of you....and doesn't let go!"

Then, at 7:15 pm, the Andrew Allen Duo hit the stage with their lilting, sunny pop tunes that are perfect for Music in the Park. Andrew’s exceptional voice, incredible songs, limitless energy, comic wit and story-telling help to create a dynamic and interactive live show.

Andrew has scored five Top 10 hits in Canada, 2009′s “I Wanna Be Your Christmas”, 2010’s “Loving You Tonight”, 2011's "I Want You”, 2015’s “What You Wanted” and 2016’s “Favourite Christmas Song”! He has toured with some big names including Bruno Mars, One Republic, Train, and The Barenaked Ladies. Plus, he’s written songs with Meghan Trainor, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tyler Shaw, and Toby Gad to name a few… and is credited with writing the #1 platinum hit ‘Four Seasons’ for K-Pop superstar Taeyeon. He's not to be missed live!

Organized by Trail & District Arts Council, in partnership with Trail’s incrEDIBLE Farmer’s Market, our Night Markets have become a staple of Music in the Park where you may picnic, shop, and dance the night away. The market will see a range of artisans and other vendors at the market, as well as tasty cooling treats and delicious eats by our food vendors.
