We are teaming up with the Red Mountain events crew to bring back this popular event with new prizes this year! If you have any questions reach out to us on here or at our email. Photo Race 2024 @ Red Mountain: Held by the Red Mountain Ski Patrol Society A photo race is a competition where teams are given a list of tasks that they must try to complete. Each task must have photo evidence that is submitted to the judges at the end of the event. Each task is worth 1,2,3, or 4 points depending on the difficulty of the task. The team with the most points from the event will win. We are fundraising for the RMSPS and the United Church in Trail. Be sure to read this list of rules before you sign up: • Waivers must be filled out on the day of the event(Sunday, March 3rd) from 8:30-9:00am outside the Ski Patrol locker room. • Please submit entry fee before 9:00am, Sunday, March 3rd ), either electronically to our email address: redmountainskipatrol@gmail.com or by cash to the Ski Patrol locker room. • Entry fee must be submitted with a list of your four team members and a team name. • March 3rd is the day of the Photo Race. Your team will receive the list of tasks at 9:00am by direct email, on this group's main page, and paper copies will be available outside the Ski Patrol locker room. • Once the list of tasks is released the event is officially live and your team can begin taking photos. The event will run until 3:00pm. All photos must be submitted before 8pm on March 3rd,2024. • Photos may be submitted by email/google drive to redmountainskipatrol@gmail.com, by USB stick to the Red Ski Patrol locker room, or cameras may be submitted as well. • Photos will only be accepted if taken between 9:00am and 3:00pm on March 3rd,2024. Time stamps will be verified by the judges to assure all photos are taken while the event is live. • Photos will be judged and points will be tallied from 8pm onwards until all teams have been ranked. • Winners will be announced the next day(March 4th) on this event page. • One member of each winning team will collect the prize within a few days. • Must have four people per team. No more, no less. • $40 entry fee per team. • The list of tasks will be so long that your team will find it impossible to complete all of them over the course of the day. You will need to work out a plan to maximize how many points you can accumulate. • All photos submitted must have 3 out of your 4 team members in them. Photos lacking this requirement will not be counted towards your overall points. • Teams that have a themed costume will automatically earn 15 points towards their overall score. • "Employee Cup Award"- teams consisting of all Red Resort employees are eligible to win a special "Shot-Ski-Trophy", that they can use for a year. They must sign their names with sharpies on it and return it for our second annual Photo Race next year. • Waivers must be filled out Sunday, March 3rd on the day of the PhotoRace. Parents/guardians must sign for kids. A task list will be provided upon completed registration at 9:00am. Again, don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
