Historic Places Days - free admission and photo contest! - at the Museum

July 12 to 13 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Historic Places Days is coming up! Did you know that we're a designated national historic event site for the Kootenay Mining Region? The Museum will be open with free admission (donations welcomed!) 10 am to 6 pm July 12-13 to celebrate. Haven't gone on one of our guided tours yet? Now's your chance! We offer guided historical tours of the outdoor exhibits at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm daily through the summer, and on Fridays and Saturdays, the Gold Fever Follies will be on site to add some extra pizzazz to the 11 am tour.

And more, the National Trust is having a photo contest! You can enter by visiting historic places participating in the event (yes, that includes the Rossland Museum - check out the full list of places at historicplacesdays.ca/places) and sharing a photo, selfie, or short video of the place! Photo/video entries will be placed in a random draw to win one of two $500 cash prizes! If your entry wins, $500 will be awarded to you and $500 to the historic site featured in your post!

Check out our website https://www.rosslandmuseum.ca/news/2025/historic-places-days for more info.

The Museum is open year-round! 10 am to 6 pm seven days a week.
