Visiting Trail -now that was painful

If you haven't been to Trail recently - you might want to re-think going at all. I went for the first time in a month, and just getting to Paradise-on-the-Columbia took the best part of an hour. (Traffic was a lot less on the way back - I must of picked a bad time.) Still, makes you realize how well they planned the roadworks here last year. Even when you get in the traffic on Bay was locked solid right down the street. If I hadn't needed to visit my bank specifically I'd have saved time and hassle by going to Castlegar. Sure is another reason to shop local - right now it's "downtown Trail - more (aggravation) than you imagine."
