The Monashee Institute

Our experiential learning institute was created as a way to invite increased revenue and visitors into the area and help with the coordination of tourism activities available to them.  As such, the Monashee Institute is an education center that provides unique instructive programs and outdoor adventures to a local and global audience.  We enhance existing and develop new cultural and educational tourism experiences for visitors to our region.   

Our edu-tourism initiative brings attention to the unique assets and vibrancy of Rossland through community instructors, local business partnerships and our beautiful natural resources.  We connect visitors with local knowledge and skill providers with communal resources for delivering educational travel experiences and unique opportunities to collect their own stories and valuable memories. 

Our vision is to continue delivering experiential education programs that encourage both our community and visitors to cultivate a joy of learning and adventure, inspire personal discovery and foster appreciation of our environment.
