June 26 7:00 to 8:30 pm Michael Kluckner will be introducing his new book: Julia based on teh remarkable like of Julia Henshaw. She was a novelist, journalist, botanist, explorer and World War I ambulance driver who won the French Croix de guerre exactly 100 years ago. The book follows her eventful life from Montreal to Vancouver, Banff to London and from the Mining Towns of the Kootenays (including Rossland) to the battlefields of France and Belgium. A novelist herself. Henshaw's book, "Why Not, Sweetheart" takes place in Rossland. »
