An Evening with David Suzuki - Human Impact on Our Environment

Presented by the Lower Columbia Community Development Team Society

“The way we see the world shapes the way we treat it.” - David Suzuki

David Suzuki is coming to Trail on May 1, 2020 to talk about human impact on the environment and what we need to do to address the climate crisis.

David Suzuki’s life work has been about the environment. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear one of Canada’s most respected scientists and advocates share his insights and experiences in a no-nonsense, exciting and enlightening evening. His theme is the anthropocene, the current geological age when human activity has been the dominant influence on climate and the environment. Humanity has undergone an explosive change in numbers, science, technology, consumption and economics that have endowed us with the power to alter the biological, physical and chemical properties of the planet.

Now we have to decide how we respond to the climate crisis and how we change course again to reduce our impact and achieve sustainability.

This is an opportunity for you and for your communities to take the initiative and start to build a stronger and more resilient economy and healthier communities. Get your tickets today!
