Tapping Sycamore Trees to Make Syrup

Has anyone out there tried this before here in Rossland?  I'm talking about the maple tree lookalike, Sycamore.  My parents sent me some spiles.  We are going to give it a go.  Would love our kids to have the experience (and excuse to roast marshmallows boiling down the sap).  Words of wisdom appreciated :)

A community member here reached out and shared some info which I really appreciated!  In case anyone else out there is interested, the sap is definitely running now!
