ISO - Help with Metal Roof & Ice Dam Formation

I'm based in Rossland and have an ice dam forming at the front edge of my metal roof. This has resulted in meltwater leaking on to the wooden deck. The water has warped a few of the wooden floorboards on the deck and is seeping into the area under the deck as well.

I'm currently looking for someone who can help resolve the ice dam issue in order to prevent further water damage to the house. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. Thanks!

Get rid of the snow and ice on the roof.  They sell scrapers with extension poles to scrape snow from a roof.  If you have lots of ice buildup you can throw a bunch of salt on there, specially in warmer weather.  The salt will weaken the ice, then you can hack away at it with an ice chipper.  Just make sure you're not in the firing line of any ice or snow sliding off the roof as you do this.
