BATS: Out of the Darkness at the Rossland Museum

Tuesdays to Saturdays Oct 12 to Nov 15 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Bats are swooping into Rossland! The RMDC is pleased to be hosting "BATS: Out of the Darkness," a travelling exhibit developed by the Kelowna Museums from October 12th - January 5th. "BATS" explores the bat species that call British Columbia home and serves as a reminder of how essential bats are to the environment. This family-friendly exhibit focuses on bat ecology, biology, habitat needs, Indigenous perspectives, conservation issues, personal stories/case studies, and fun facts. The exhibit features audio, video, and even bat specimens for the public to explore. The RMDC is excited to bring in an exhibit that explores aspects of BC’s beautiful natural world for our community to explore! We can't wait for everyone to go batty with us over bats!

"BATS" will be on display in the J.D. McDonald Hall until January 5, 2024. Free for members and included in regular admission for non-members.

Are you a teacher and want to bring your class to see the exhibit? We've got you covered! We are happy to do an educational tour of the exhibit with your class!

This exhibit is supported by Canadian Heritage and the Le Roi Community Foundation.

The Museum is open year-round!
Tuesdays through Sundays from 10am to 6pm.
