A BLACK SILK DRESS
Submitted by Chester on Wed, 09/12/2015 - 2:26pm
Did you recently give a 1st world war vintage black silk dress to the thrift shop? It appears that it might be a dress, fashioned from a parachute collected from the field by women during the war. Apparently the parachutes were green, black, and white. Wedding dresses were made from the white ones. You can see a beautiful parachute wedding dress online. This dress has historical significance and I would like it to go to the museum, with its story. Please respond if you know anything about this dress. Town: Rossland, BC |
