Mountain landscapes in oil and acrylic

Grant Hall

After doing some painting in high school Grant took a 22 year break from painting as raising a family and other hobbies used up most of his time.  However, the Covid pandemic proved to be the catalyst he needed to get in front of the easel again.  As one painting led to another he soon found it crucial to his peace of mind to be immersed in the creative process of idea finding, composition, colour theory and finally applying paint to canvas.  Based in Rossland, Grant uses the ample scenery and vistas of southern BC and Albertas Rocky Mountains as reference and inspiration for his paintings. Grant paints in both oil and acrylic mediums.
