ISO small tablet to take on a trip

I'm heading on a 1.5 mo. trip soon and would like to take a small tablet for daily reading of the news & books, and generally searching the web. My iPad is too big and I'm reluctant to buy another gadget. Does anyone have an old, small tablet you would be interested in selling, renting, loaning? No storage required just a decent chip for streaming. I know its a long shot but maybe you recently upgraded and have one you can part with temporarily or permanently. Thanks.
