Tenancy Coordinator for Rossland and Fruitvale Properties The Lower Columbia Affordable Housing Society (LCAHS) is seeking a part-time Tenancy Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will manage tenancy of the affordable rental properties owned and operated by the LCAHS in Rossland and Fruitvale. The mandate of the LCAHS is to develop and manage affordable housing for low to moderate income households in the Lower Columbia Region. The Society currently operates 57 units of affordable rental housing in Trail and Rossland and is in the process of developing an additional 31 units in Fruitvale. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties associated with selecting, supporting and managing tenants in our Rossland Yards and Rossland 4plex properties as well as Blizzard Mountain Place which is in the pre-occupancy phase of tenancy planning. Preferred Experience and Qualifications: The person in this role will have excellent organizational, interpersonal communication, marketing and office administration skills, including the effective use of computer technology and social media resources. Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Branch regulations and procedures will be considered an asset. Work Location: The successful candidate will have the option of working from home or from the LCAHS office located in our Rossland Yards property and a similar office which will be part of our Blizzard Mountain Place property in Fruitvale. Preference will be given candidates living in or close to the Lower Columbia Region, given requirements for meetings and other on-site activities.
Terms of Employment · The Tenant Services Coordinator (Rossland and Fruitvale) will work part-time, on average15 hours per week with flexibility to address emergent tenant needs and issues. · Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel throughout the region; · A Criminal Record check will be required prior to employment; and · Reports to and will be supervised by the society’s Affordable Housing Administrator in conjunction with the Board President.
Salary and Benefits · Salary range: $25 - $30 per hour plus extended benefits. · The LCAHS will provide employment-specific computer hardware and software and access to Internet service.
